CIF rocked this year also with a grand musical extravaganza Tamil light music concert Saaral. Popular music director and actor G.V. Prakash participated in this year’s event and enthralled the audience by singing his popular hits.

The event was a success with a huge turnout. Everyone stayed until the end of the show and enjoyed their favorite hit songs of G.V. Prakash. We thank our sponsors, volunteers and the audience for making this event a success. We thank the audience for donating generously. The funds raised from this event will go to establishing Cancer Screening Centers in Thiruvannamalai.

CIF’s Kitchen Khiladi event reached 11th year! Both Adults and Kids cooking competitions were held. There were also dance competitions and talent show.

All the participants rocked. The entire audience was amazed at the talents in both cooking and dancing on the display! Check out the winners of the competitions and also the photo album.

Congratulations to all the winners!

CIF conducted its first ever Cure Cancer League – Volleyball and Throw Ball competition. More than 35 teams participated in the tournament. Volleyball tournament was divided into Professional, Advanced, Beginner and Youth categories. Co-ed teams also participated. Even though this was the first time holding such a tournament it was a grand success. All the players appreciated the efforts put in by CIF volunteers and were very appreciative.

We thank the players, volunteers and sponsors for supporting a good cause. The money raised from this event will be used to fund Cancer Screening Center in Thiruvannamalai.

Tamil Cinema and TV fame Y.Gee. Mahendra staged his latest play “3ji” with supporting artists from Chicago. This is one of his hit Tamil comedy plays which has received rave reviews both in Tamil Nadu and abroad.

Amateur Artists of Bay Area (AABA) a talented local group of actors presented a fundraising Tamil comedy play “Chithappa Weds Chithi”. The show was a big hit and received great reviews by everyone in the attendance. The play was written by T.T. Ravi and directed by T.S. Ram.

Bharatanatyam students of Ms. Vidhya Venkatesan staged a classical Indian dance ballet “vandE krishnam” to raise funds for CIF.

The performance was captivating and the audience had a lot of praise for the students. We could appreciate the amount of work the students had put in to stage this show.
